Decorative skeleton figures, one black and one white, with a vintage girl's portrait in the background and a glass planter with a small plant in the top right corner.

Our Vision:

Carpe Noctem was created from a belief that the objects we live with should be as meaningful as the lives we’re building.

Scent has the power to hold memory, to shift atmosphere, to transform the ordinary into something felt. We set out to create candles and fragrances that do more than simply exist in a space. They shape it. They deepen it. They become part of the ritual of living.

From the beginning, our intention was never only to sell candles. It was to create an experience of discovery. A place where people move slowly. Where scent sparks memory. Where choosing a candle becomes personal.

Carpe Noctem invites you to pause. To notice. To feel.

To seize the night.

It’s nice to meet  you,

Our Story

Carpe Noctem began in 2020 as a private pursuit. An exploration of scent, material, and atmosphere. What started in a kitchen, guided by instinct and obsession with detail, quickly found its way beyond the home.

Our first studio opened in Stillwater, Minnesota, where each candle was poured by hand and introduced to a community drawn to its depth and distinction.

In 2023, Carpe Noctem expanded to Las Vegas, carrying the same philosophy into a new landscape.

Today, every candle remains rooted in its origin. Created slowly. Built from the formula up. Designed not simply to fragrance a space, but to define it.

Our Philosophy

We believe fragrance is not an accessory. It is atmosphere.

Every Carpe Noctem candle is created with intention, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final pour. We value restraint over excess, depth over immediacy, and craftsmanship over convenience.

Our work is guided by a single principle: to create objects that transform space, memory, and experience through scent.

Nothing rushed. Nothing accidental. Nothing ordinary.

Carpe Noctem

‘Seize the Night’

A philosophy of presence. Of atmosphere. Of living within the hours where memory is made.
Each candle is created to accompany that ritual. To illuminate space. To hold scent. To transform the ordinary into something felt.
The night belongs to those who choose to live within it.
